This is Mitch, the new volunteer at Ban San Faan. My girlfriend Lauren and I are here for the summer holiday, helping the kids practice their English and taking every available opportunity to play with and love the kids. They're amazing!
I'm originally from Seattle, Washington and Lauren is from New Mexico. We make our home base San Diego, California and are in Thailand teaching in the city of Surat Thani for a year. To all the folks in Longview, I have to say that seeing Mariner's gear in a little village in Thailand was not something I was expecting!
Just figured this blog out, and I will have the kids read the latest messages and hopefully do some of their own replies. I'm sure they'll be happy to see that you're thinking of them!
Not much to report other than even though we've had a few good rains the temperature's holding to be very hot, the air is cloudy from all the burning in the region, and P. Doh's cooking is as good as ever.
